After receiving verification of eligibility from the board, register with Pearson Vue to take either the the NCLEX-RN (Registered Nurse) or NCLEX-PN (Practical Nurse; applies for Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse).
Applicants will be scheduled a test date within 30 days. Results are mailed out by state nursing boards, typically one month after testing.Passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is necessary to becoming a nurse in the United States. After finishing the state educational and clinical requirements, it is possible to apply for a seat taking the NCLEX. Depending on whether you meet the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Nurse (LVN/ LPN) requirements is up to individual state nursing boards.
