Take Quercetin in supplemental form daily. Quercetin is a flavonoid that works to inhibit an enzyme that is involved in the development of Gout. Ideally you should take around 200 mg of Quercetin, three times per day, in between meals.
Try the Banana diet for 3 days if you suffer from a more severe case of Gout. The Banana diet is a plan that consists of eating 8-9 bananas a day for a total of 3 days. Nothing else is allowed on this plan, except for water. This treatment is a bit more extreme, but works well for those with severe cases of Gout and does offer relief.
Take an Epsom bath every other day. Epsom baths have been proven to help improve Gout and help relieve Gout pain. To make an Epsom bath just add 1 cup of Epsom salt to your bath.
