How to Alleviate Red Skin From Rosacea

Chamomile Tea Treatment

Splash the face with cold water three to four times, then pat dry with a towel. Cold water will calm the skin before beginning the chamomile tea treatment.

Dip two to four cotton balls into cool chamomile tea and apply to Rosacea affected areas. Lightly dab the skin with the cotton balls when applying; do not rub. Rubbing the face will only irritate and redden the skin. Pour ½ cup of oatmeal and ¼ cup of water into a large bowl. Stir the oatmeal and water until lump-like texture is formed.

Apply the oatmeal to Rosacea affected areas. Lightly smooth the oatmeal onto the face using your fingertips, minding not to rub the skin. Oatmeal contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that reduce redness, inflammation, and restore the body with an adequate amount of Vitamin A. Vitamin A is a common nutritional shortage apparent in those affected by Rosacea.

Allow the oatmeal to soak on the skin for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water, and pat dry with a towel. Repeat this treatment two times daily for best results.
